Joel has had a love for art since the age of 5. He currently works as a designer for Pearson Education in Boston, Massachusetts. He finds his inspiration from design blogs, other designers, (specifically his students at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University), and the energy from the city.

Joel is a big fan of typography, oreo cookies, the Boston Red Sox, and spending time with his wife Andrea,his dog Otis, and as of September 2, 2009, his son "Sam."
